SF Hacks

SF Hacks is San Francisco State University's nationally acclaimed student-led hackathon, dedicated to inspiring innovation, collaboration and social impact through technology.

SF Hacks is SF State's student-led hackathon organization, hosting both smaller campus events and our flagship annual national hackathon that is officially partnered with Major League Hacking's (MLH) 2025 hackathon season. This spring, we will bring 400 students from universities across the nation to our campus for a weekend of learning, networking, and developing tech projects designed to solve real-world challenges.

But events of this scale are costly. From meals for hundreds of students over three days, to merchandise, prizes, workshops, and venue logistics, the costs add up quickly. In total, it will cost $30,000 this year for us to make this event possible. Your support ensures we can continue hosting this empowering event free of charge, removing financial barriers for students like us and fostering an inclusive environment for innovation.
