A panel reflecting on Peru’s forced disappearances between 1980 and 2000 that brought together historian and photographer Percy Rojas, writer and anthropologist Karina Pacheco, human rights activist and former Peruvian Minister of Culture Gisela Ortiz, and documentary filmmaker Luis Cintora. Together, they engaged with our students in a conversation about memory, justice, and the importance of confronting the legacy of political violence.

Spanish Program students recited their poems alongside Spanish poet Elvira Perpinyà, who presented poems from her book "Di-Versos y me regalon sonrisas" (Say Verses and They Gave Me Smiles) at an event organized to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, October 9.
